The Condon Jazz Concerts were aired from New York's Town Hall, 30 minutes of no-frills jazz. Standard free-for-all numbers (Indiana, Everybody Loves My Baby, etc.) were alternated with slower mood pieces featureing individual artists and special guests. Singer Lee Wiley had a husky, torchy, erotic voice that still earns praise from critics of classic jazz. _{John Dunning}
