Actress Eva LeGallienne was born on January 11, 1899 in London, England. She made her stage debut in her home town at the age of fifteen and the following year left for the United States. Within a decade of her arrival, she had established herself on Broadway as both a star and director.

In addition to her work in the theatre, to a lesser degree she included radio and motion pictures in her career. On radio Eva LeGallienne served as the narrator of Horror, Incorporated. She was also heard on One Woman's Opinion and The Rudy Vallee Show.

Eva LeGallienne died of heart failure on June 3, 1991. She was ninety-two years old.
