The makers of Mars Candy Bars sponsored a brief radio series titled Falstaff Fables. The five minute show, heard Monday through Friday, starred Alan Reed and Alan Reed Jr. reciting parodies of well known children's stories in thyme. Dick Tufeld announced and John Duffy played the organ.

The short lived series was broadcast over the ABC network for only a few weeks during the latter part of 1950.
