Fifteen minute dramas of famous folks' lives was the basis for the brief syndicated series Lives of the Great.

Only twelve of the transcribed programs were produced and distributed. The lives of the twelve selected to be portrayed on the programs were P.T. Barnum, Buffalo Bill, Henry Clay, Benjamin Disraeli, Thomas Edison, Benjamin Franklin, Ulysses S. Grant, Andrew Jackson, Robert E. Lee, Abraham Lincoln, Robert E. Peary, and Mark Twain.
