From 1932 to 1936, youngsters sat enthralled before the radio listening to Bobby Benson's Adventures. The program was heard on CBS radio. It was among the most popular of kid's shows, and it produced a variety of premiums that are valued by collectors.

The program began as a three-times-a-week serial and then went to a five-times-a-week program. In the beginning it was sponsored by Heckers H-O Cereals. The sponsor blatantly promoted itself by naming Bobby's ranch the H-Bar-O Ranch.
